L-com’s LC6-USB20I-1PX165 is a single port USB 2.0 UTP extender that is designed for industrial environments. This industrial level ESD protection metal ESD style USB 2.0 extender uses 24AWG solid conductor-Ethernet to extend a USB signal. (Ethernet cable assembly is sold separately.) Our UTP extender uses Cat6 or Cat5e cable to transmit signals at much greater distances than the standard USB 2.0 limit of 5 meters. This extender is capable of transmitting signals up to 150 feet at a maximum distance.

The metal industrial shell allows for extra ESD protection of 15KV as well as an extended temperature range appropriate to most factory environments. The industrial USB extenders ship with both TX (local) and RX (remote) units as well as an optional power supply, power terminal block and DIN rail mounting kit. Power supplies are needed for use with BUS powered devices such as thumb drives, HD drives and other such USB peripherals that require BUS power.
