Singlemode WDM Media Converter - 10/100 Base-TX to 100 Base-FX - RJ45 to Duplex SC - 20 Km
This media converter is designed to convert 10/100 Base-TX RJ45 copper media to 100 Base-FX fiber media or vice versa. WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is a technique in fiber optic transmission that enables the use of multiple light wavelengths (or colors) to send data over the same medium. Two or more colors of light can travel on one fiber and several signals can be transmitted in an optical waveguide at differing wavelengths. Using WDM technology, only one fiber cable is needed to transmit and receive data with a singlemode SC type fiber cable. It also supports longwave (LX) laser specification at a full wire speed forwarding rate. It works at 1550nm on transferring data and at 1310nm on receiving data. So the other end device to cooperate with this media converter should work at 1310nm on transferring data and at 1550nm on receiving data.
