This RJ11 6P4C modular connector is designed to terminate on round cable that is solid or stranded. The connector contains two metal "teeth" that hold the wire in place giving a reliable connection. Easy to terminate, these connectors are useful for creating custom-length patch cables from bulk cable. The 50 micron gold plated contacts will ensure an excellent connection and corrosion free finish.

Q: What is the difference between an RJ11 and an RJ12 connector?


A: Both connectors are the same size and appear the same. However looking at the contacts an RJ11 will only have 4 contacts. An RJ12 will have 6 contacts.

A: Looking at the back of the plug where the cable would insert it will either have an oval shape or a rectangular shape. The rectangular shape accepts flat cable. The oval shape accepts round cable.
