Plenum Component Video Cables - 15FT Plenum RCA AV Cable

Plenum component video and audio cables are designed to meet the strictest of electrical codes; our plenum cable meets or exceeds many common cable standards. Component video and audio cables provide a high definition video connection between devices, such as a DVD player, Blu-Ray, satellite receiver, cable box, and more.  This cable includes five separate color-coded connectors to ensure proper installation. The cables are made from flexible combination cable. Internally this cable is protected from EMI and RFI interference by a 95% copper braid and 25% aluminum foil shield. The component video cables are capable of resolutions of up to 1080P.

    A: RCA cables have a variety of uses. Mainly they are used for audio and video on anything from home theater applications to cameras.


    Q: I see RCA's defined as composite and component. What is the difference?


    A: While RCA connectors all look the same the cables they are attached to make them different. Composite is for single video and can also be used for audio. Component uses 3 different RCA connectors for video. Component video signals are far superior to composite video signal types.

    A: RGB literally stands for Red Green Blue. It is used as an interface to connect analog audio and video signals to different devices like cameras televisions computers and many more.


    Q: What does plenum rated mean?


    A: Plenum (CMP) is a rating that is given to cables that have passed a stringent burn test and are able to be run through plenum air spaces. Plenum air spaces include drop ceilings and non-ducted HVAC air returns.
