Stranded Shielded Cat6 Ethernet cable is best suited for making custom-length cables in environments with electromagnetic or radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI). More flexible than solid conductor cable, stranded Cat6 is what most commonly used Ethernet patch cables are made from. This cable is sold by the foot, order just what you need. Stranded Cat5e is commonly terminated with an RJ45 connector. Cat6 is certified for gigabit Ethernet.
