Cat6a Ethernet Cables - 0.5FT Blue Cat6a PoE Patch Cable
Experience the next generation of networking with Cat6a Patch Cables from ShowMeCables. These network cables enable 10-Gigabit data transmission over a 4-connector twisted-pair copper cable, allowing connection distances of up to 100 meters. Current Cat6 cabling systems may only support 10-Gigabit Ethernet over limited distances. The Cat6a draft extends the Cat6 electrical specifications from 250 MHz to 500 MHz. It also proposes a new measurement for Power-Sum Alien Crosstalk to 500 MHz. Alien Crosstalk is a coupled signal in a disturbed pair arising from a signal in a neighboring cable.
Features:
- Supports IEEE 802.3af and is DTE power compliant
- Compatible with T568A and T568B wiring
- Provides NEXT performance beyond 600 MHz
- Low-profile hood is ideal for high-density switch applications
- A snagless hood design
- PoE rated to four times the standard
What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6a?
Cat6a is designed to carry a 10 Gigabit signal (10GBASE-T) up to 100 meters. Cat6 can only send a 10 Gigabit signal 37-55 meters. Furthermore there are dramatic improvements in alien crosstalk (AXT) prevention with Cat6a.
How are you patch cables measured?
Our patch cables are measured from tip-to-tip. There is however a tolerance to be aware of. This tolerance is listed as (+ or –) in inches on the spec sheet for each product. For this cable the tolerance is between 5 - 7 inches.
